About the Role:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for guiding projects from concept to handover, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You may be responsible for:
- Project Delivery: Oversee all project stages, from initial scoping and planning to procurement, construction, and final handover. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams, fostering collaboration to achieve project objectives.
- Financial & Contract Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and oversee contracts and procurement activities to achieve value and mitigate risk.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify potential project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with WHS and regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including internal resources and external consultants, promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Quality & Standards: Uphold and advocate for industry best practices and our organisation’s commitment to excellence, particularly within the health, education, and social infrastructure sectors.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record leading large-scale or complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, financial acumen, and contract administration.
- Solid understanding of WHS practices, regulatory compliance, and governance within public sector projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering projects within multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, manage competing priorities, and inspire team cohesion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, adept at engaging stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify solutions, manage issues, and mitigate project risks effectively.
